LE GRANIT, Belfort [FRANCE]
Le Granit, Scène nationale de Belfort is the project leader of the Open Access project.. In France, a national stage [scène nationale] is a place where performing arts works are produced and showed to thje audience. It is as well an important tool for supporting artists (residencies, co-production, etc.). It also aims to promote artistic diversity and accessibility by working in partnership with its surrounding territory and by developing an ambitious audience development program in form of creative workshops.
Since 2012, MA scène nationale - Pays de Montbéliard, Le Granit, Scène nationale de Belfort and the National Choreographic Center of Bourgogne Franche-Comté in Belfort, VIADANSE, have put transmedia at the heart of the artistic research with the creation of a European Center for Artistic Creation called L-EST/European Performing Arts and Transmedia Lab. Its main activities revolve around an annual call for artistic research grants awarded to three artistic teams (French or international) and since 2016, to the organization of a festival, La Rencontre #TransFiction around the theme of transmedia and artistic creation.
COLECTIV A, Cluj-Napoca [Romania]
Colectiv A is founding member of an art center located in a brush factory, la Fabrica de Peninsule, bringing together other cultural associations, a must-see place in Cluj-Napoca. Concerned by the economic, social and political transformations of the world, Colectiv A is involved in different cultural projects alongside artists inspired by the impact of the image in our society. Colectiv A's main activities are the development of the independent cultural scene, the long-term accompaniment of contemporary artistic productions, the professionalization of artists through research laboratories, contemporary dance workshops, interdisciplinary productions, artistic residencies and participatory cultural projects.
DUPLACENA, Lisbon [Portugal]
DuplaCena has a double activity. On the one hand, it is oriented towards the cinematographic production and on the other hand towards the performing arts with a strong focus on dance and media art. The main activities related to performing arts are the creation, production and promotion of festivals, interdisciplinary shows and technical research related to these disciplines. The Festival Temps d'Images - Lisboa, also born from the European network and project, Réseau Temps d'Images, takes place every year from October to December. It presents a program that takes place in several places in the city, focusing mainly on the relationship between live performance and image. During its 15 years of existence, DuplaCena has built a vast and valuable network of institutional, artistic and professional collaborators working as a platform for exchanges between individuals, media, languages and ideas.
NATIONAL THEATRE WALES, Cardiff [UK]
National Theatre Wales has been making English-language theatre productions in locations all over Wales, the UK, internationally and online since March 2010 using the countries rich and diverse landscapes, communities and stories as its inspiration. It has become internationally renowned for its unique approach, with a strong practice in site-specific performance making and its commitment to local communities, NTW is a platform to present Welsh stories with an international perspective.

Since 2011, NTW has created opportunities for independent artists to develop new ideas for performance. By focussing on creative exploration, NTW has helped artists to work in bolder collaborative formations, question their practice and be braver with their artistic ambitions. A vital strand of National Theatre Wales’ Creative Development is international exchange: we have hosted artists from across the globe and collaborated on international residencies to create unique development opportunities for artists. This European project will feature as part of the Creative Development framework and will further opportunities for international collaboration and exchange.
